Hey girl, there are definitely differences! I'm pretty small and usually have trouble fitting into Women's gear...much less Men's! The front of the chest protectors for women have more room for the chest. Which would probably get a little uncomfortable after a days ride if you were to be wearing a Mens protector.

While that is the obvious difference, size is also a big difference. I have small arms and a small frame body. Before I got into motocross I joked around putting my fiances gear on...his chest protector swallowed me whole, and it was a Mens Thor small. I personally own a Fox chest protector and even the small one don't tighten up enough around the mid-section to fit well...

I don't know how you are built, whether you are a tall girl or muscular build....but I'm 5'3 with a slightly muscular build at 110 pounds...and that is how the Mens stuff fits me... :/

I know THOR and FOX both make a women's chest protector. I think a lot of girls just wear a guys chest protector mainly because there are many more choices available. Unless a girl was just really "top heavy" I don't see an issue wearing a guys model. They aren't all that different in design anyway. As long as it's comfortable to you, that's all that matters. I noticed most of the ladies in the X Games race were wearing men's chest protectors.

Well girls chest protectors the the chest area more pushed out for obvious reasons. Your best bet would be to try one on at a local motocross shop or dealer. Ask the workers what they think
