I want to buy a mini moto and I live in London, England. However i researched info about them not being road legal however they can be insured, road taxed etc. I don't understand how to insure the moto, it has no number plate or anything, Also what company insure mini moto? And if insured, can I drive it on the road? I have a valid driving license. Thanks, hope it's not too confusing :s

Im almost 100% sure mini Motos are not road legal

Monkey bike, pit bike and possibly a midi moto can be road legal... Get one already on the road and go on Chinese insurance websites as the majority of them will be jinlung or hondga, skyjey ect

I want to buy a mini moto and I live in London, England. However i researched info about them not being road legal CORRECT. NOT ROAD LEGAL however they can be insured, THEY CAN BE INSURED UNDER YOUR HOUSE INSURANCE, NOT ROAD INSURANCE. road taxed etc NO YOU CANT TAX ONE. THEY ARE ILLEGAL ON THE ROAD NOW (AROUND 20 YEARS YOU COULD, NOT NOW) . I don't understand how to insure the moto, UNDER YOUR HOUSE INSURANCE it has no number plate or anything, Also what company insure mini moto? HOUSE And if insured, can I drive it on the road? NO, ITS NOT ROAD LEGAL. I have a valid driving license. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. AN UP TO DATE LIBRARY CARD IS THE SAME IN THIS CASE. Thanks, NO PROBLEMS hope it's not too confusing :s IT'S NOT. THEY ARE NOT ROAD LEGAL.

I think the only way they can be insured is like you would insure a pushbike by naming it on your household contents insurance, in case it gets stolen. Nothing you do will make it legal on the road
